Empire State of Love – Chi and Nick

During The “Empire State of Love” project, I have been meeting amazing people. In this case, Chi and Nick came because she is a friend of Makeda and Raoul, another couple that I shot in the beginning of March. Btw, one of the most popular session of the project!

So, Chi and Nick are already married, he is a dentist and she is a doctor. Exactly what the project is about, shoot normal people and register their love. You don’t need to be a model or something like that to have beautiful images with your loved ones. You just need both of you together, sync and love. And that was the vibe with them.

Their wedding was this past January in California. They had the opportunity to have a big wedding for the whole family and friends. One of the things that Chi told me, is that they didn’t have an engagement session. So, we did a perfect one, almost 3 months after the wedding day! Amazing.

One of their wishes was having this session in Manhattan since both of them work, live and love the city. So we took advantage of the city and had a great day together.
We started at the Top of the Rock with all that stunning view. Some pictures with the Central Park and Uptown as the background, and of course, plenty of pictures with the Empire State building and Downtown filling beautifully our frame. After a fast stop at the Blue Bottle Coffee to get some extra energy for the next locations, we did some fun images at the Fifth Avenue and walked to the Central Park where we got some portraits at the Bethesda Fountain and some nice green backgrounds. Almost 3 hours shooting and enjoying the city.
I have to assume, I shot a lot that day!! I had a hard time to edit this job. With a great couple, beautiful light, and location, the process was nice!

Chi and Nick, thanks for allowing me to create and have fun with you guys.
Hope all of you enjoy as much as I did!!

And if you are coming to NYC or live nearby, don’t be shy! Drop me an email, tell me your story and let’s shoot your love. 😉
